What is the cost for your tutoring programs?

FREE, all programs and services offered by the Center for the participants and families enrolled in the Center are free. However, the Summer Camp requires a registration fee for non-participants. Programs and services provided by New Beginnings are sponsored by our church partners, business partners, supportive foundations, community organizations, government agencies, generous donors and our committed board of directors.

When are your programs and services offered?

During the coronavirus pandemic, all programs and services will be offered virtually/on-line only. All New Beginnings program participants are required to register on-line with us and select an available appointment time from the pre-approved virtual tutor schedule, and listing. In-person scheduling will resume later in 2021. All interested participants and families will be notified of the exact date on our website.

After-school tutoring services are traditionally scheduled for the general public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evenings are reserved for a pre-approved select number of students based on The Episcopal Church of the Ascension's volunteer parishioner tutor assigned list.

If you are interested in enrolling in our programs, please email us at:

outreach@nbEDcenter.org for further instructions.

Are your programs and services offered year-round?

Yes, New Beginnings programs and services are offered twelve months out of a year. However, the Center will be closed for all Montgomery Public School Board of Education scheduled holidays.

Does New Beginnings guarantee results?

No, our programs have been implemented to help the participants help themselves. Success depends on the person's background, intellectual curiosity, cognitive ability, study habits and discipline. However, children who consistently participate in our After-School tutoring and mentoring programs generally receive improved grades, improved attendance and improved self-confidence.
