We believe our children are
the future. As parents and educators, it is our job to educate them, nurture them, guide them and provide the best possible experiences during their formative years. We strive to develop an
individually tailored strategic plan for each client. Our participants gain the survival skills necessary for long term self-sufficiency.
New Beginnings participants are primarily residents of Paterson Court Housing Community, Tulane Court Housing Community and surrounding inner-city, low-income areas within Montgomery. The Center serves Montgomery’s most under-served and impoverished children, their parents, and their community. According to “Community Counts” Report (2011), 100% of the families serviced are below the poverty line and participate in food stamp related programs. Additionally, the area serviced has the lowest rate of 4 for juvenile court cases, birth-rate for unmarried women and HIV/AIDs incident rates. Our center takes a focused, collaborative, and long-term approach to deal with families that we serve.
“Everything can be taken from a person except his education.”
